When I lived out west, it was not unusual for me to drive over 11 hours to visit my girlfriend on a weekend just to have a chance to hang with a good friend, have some laughs, & enjoy each others company. Do you have your Business Plan? If yes, do you have your Action Plan? One of the first questions I ask entrepreneurs is: do you have a business plan? Most answer NO and sometimes I find the rare ones who answer YES. The subsequent question is: when was the last time you reviewed it? It’s an easy way to weed out those who are doing well and succeeding in business. 😉

I don’t know if it’s my business degree with a psychology minor, the fact that I’ve had some amazing people in my life, or the proliferation of Serendipity and wanting to share this good with others, either way I feel we all should give back. So, I find it interesting when I talk to other business people and it’s not even part of their vision or vocabulary. If a business truly cares about its employees, clients, and the community shouldn’t giving back be common practice?

This is my year for ACTion (Advice, Connections, Training) & stepping up my game! Year end is a double whammy review time for me! Not only is it New Years but I also celebrate my birthday. The last week of December (& often well before) is a time of self-reflection, assessment, & planning what I loved, liked, & need to do differently from this year while looking forward into the next.

TRUST YOUR GUT! ;) I have a rule in business & life: if I ask twice whether to do something, I already know the answer. I have enough faith and understanding in myself (as well as the ability to research and make educated decisions) that by the time I need to make a decision, if I keep asking repeatedly "should I do/don't do this", I already know the answer. It is the opposite of what I keep asking. My personal rule is, if I've asked twice, don't do it!
